I have found this auction house to be honest and fair to deal with.

Descriptions of items offered for bidding have been accurately described in terms of function and condition. Just one small suggestion for improvement would be to ensure the condition of the bore of all firearms is mentioned since this is something that is always in question by bidders. As well, the condition of a scope should be mentioned as to whether crosshairs are intact and square and if the scope vision is clear.

As well, they have one of the lowest bidder premiums among all auction houses across Canada.

Another plus for bidders is that they offer shipping at cost with no hidden extra fees.

If I were to make one suggesting for improving their online auction experience for their firearms auctions it would be to organize items within types. Currently their online listings are a jumble of items that becomes confusing to search through. I would suggest they need to categorize items within groups such as firearms, accessories, and ammunition/reloading.

I wanted to add a follow-up to my earlier review. It is pleasing to see that the auctioneer has already adopted my recommendations above.

As well, I want to tell everyone that this auction house is one of the most honest places to do business with as a buyer. Recently they did more than make it right with a mix-up regarding a recent purchase. It is a fair business run by nice people.

Working with Kidd Family Auctions is such a pleasure! They are friendly, professional and easy to work with. Their live auctions are quick and often playful and fun. The online platform takes a little getting used to but works fine. I highly recommend working with Dennis, Lyn and the rest of the family.

This is a great auction house. Deals in local estates and collections. Good website, easy to navigate. Offers optional local pickup or shipping. I’ve used them several times and am extremely happy with results. Added benefit of supporting a local business.

Kidds family auctions are wonderful people . Helpful nice to deal with have amazing auctions. Always enjoy ourselves when we go. On line they are very helpful in getting all set up and stuff. The auction always have a great variety of stuff . The people that work there are good hard working people honest nice to talk to down to earth people. I would certainly tell all family and friends to go to their auctions for a good day out. Always find treasures to bring home.

Dennis, his family, and staff are really great to deal with both purchasing, and selling. In my area it was great to see Kidd Family Auctions pick up the torch, and fill the void left by retiring auctioneers. The times we are currently in means no live auctions which for me are a great social outing, but we do what we must to keep everyone safe. Dennis is doing a great job with the online sales.
