I grew up in Mono but haven’t actually tried many of the nice restaurants until recently. Will definitely be going back to the Birch. Excellent food meets great price point. My friend and I both had the steak and shared the Lemon Tart for dessert. Steak was cooked perfectly as well as the vegetables with buttery mashed Potatoes. I’m a dessert person and the Lemon Tart was a great balance of sweet and Tart not to mention the serving was huge.

Dinner after the holidays on a quiet Thursday night. The service was fantastic with excellent suggestions and enjoyable banter, making us feel as though we were family.
The rack of lamb was exquisite, while the tenderloin my wife had was also skillfully finished and the plate was cleaned entirely (this never happens).

A true local gem, with an impressive wine list and local craft beer.

If I had the authority to issue one, I would award the Chef of Black Birch a Michelin Star ⭐️. We had the Prime Rib with root vegetables and Yorkshire pudding. Every single item was cooked to perfection. The Yorkshire pudding was lightly crispy on the outside and soft and doughy and flavourful on the inside. The potato leek soup was stupendous so many dimensions of flavour. The hand made Mexican cinnamon chocolate ice cream is a delicious flavour I have never enjoyed before. Also Hayley our server was friendly and professional.

Outstanding evening. We will be back.
