As a fifteen year plus member I can honestly say for those seeking the private ski club experience this is an amazing club to be apart of with great close proximity to the city. Family oriented great people and staff!
I've been at Mansfield for over 40 years and have never looked back. If you are looking for a very friendly, family-oriented ski club with short lift lines, you are looking in the right direction. Only 1.5 hours from TO. And it's a fun place with a fabulous new GM, super cool lift-ees, friendly staff and great coaches. By the end of your first year, everyone will know your name!
Nice facility and the staff that was working there the day we attended was pleasant and helpful. My only criticism is that their admin department needs some overhaul.
I had requested a beginner lesson (by leaving a voice mail and email) for my daughter a week prior to the date I’d booked her lift ticket for. Received an email back stating that they were working on staff, but would be notified by the end of the weekend. Didn’t hear back, so emailed again. Eventually received an email stating that there was no availability due to staff shortages, but he would let me know if anything came up.
I was completely understanding until I later find out that I know of at least two other people (who contacted them just a couple of days prior) were able to secure a lesson. Why is it so hard to maintain a wait list?
My disappointment mostly stems from the fact that my daughter ended up having a fairly frustrating first skiing experience, even though she did manage to improve somewhat throughout the day.
Nice spot for a mid week visit. Some good challenging runs. Nice terrain park. Restaurant was excellent. It is a little pricey compared to similar sized spots in Durham, but that could be because of its location and the Blue Mountain effect. I visited with a member and it is private on the weekend, not sure what the policy is during the week. Call ahead to confirm you can go without a member.
Was at Mansfield this past Saturday. Really a great place to introduce your kids to skiing. Good instruction team, activities department. Very friendly staff, willing to provide information and point you in the right direction. Close to Toronto, with enough terrain to keep your gang interested. Really worth the visit. Great for a day trip.
