Lots of history in a small place a most see if possible
A must see place in Ontario
This Lighthouse is one of the oldest on Lake Erie and one of the best things to check out in Port Burwell. During the summer you can climb to the top for an incredible view of the area. There are informative signs and plaques sharing more information about the lighthouse and local history nearby. Plenty of free parking in town.
Very steep stairs and only three people can fit at the top. It is a nice view but you can't get very nice images because the windows are so dirty. It is nice to see if in the area.
This is a must visit if you are in the area.
Our family owns a cottage in the area and whenever we make the trip back, we always go to this lighthouse. Its completely made out of wood and has step stairs to the top. Once at the top...amazing view of Lake Erie.
Surrounding this lighthouse is more historic pieces such as an anchor from schooner NIMROD which sank after colliding with another ship.
Across the street is the museum which is another awesome attraction that you must see.
Highly recommend visiting this lighthouse.
