Beach was fantastic. Unfortunately, although every website said the lake water was 76 on the hot July day we went, when we arrived it was literally in the 50s. Waves had altered it two days prior. If there was some place to get a more accurate prediction, that would be fantastic as it's a two hour drive.
This was a huge beach with wonderful (and affordable) parking that made for a great stop while we explored the length of Lake Erie.
The beach was big, sandy, and exactly what you would expect a beach to be. It was busy but not crowded and the facilities (showers, toilets etc) were clean, well kept and easy to access.
Beautiful place no matter the season. Always love coming here with my boyfriend to relax, swim, or canoe! ???? Have seen some pretty killer sunsets here too.
Enjoy this beach. Great that there is life guards on duty. Waves can be intense for some. Beach is not huge but have not felt crowed. Nearby pier is nice for a stroll. Parking currently $15. Some good cafes, ice cream parlours, bars & restaurants nearby.
Port Stanley is our family's favorite beach, it's close enough to Kitchener - Waterloo for a quick trip and we never have an issue finding parking. The beach itself is huge with a lot of sandy area to spread out and is surrounded by restaurants and shops all in walking distance.
