One of my least favourite parts of going to a professional salon is that the stylist often spends half the appointment telling me what I’m doing wrong to my hair and trying to upsell me expensive products. This is NOT what Kristen does. Every time she does my hair, she makes me feel beautiful from the moment I walk in, and then enhances that feeling through her kind words and extremely talented work. (She will definitely give you advice for how to enhance your home hair care if you want ideas, but she does so in a kind and gentle way that doesn’t make you feel bad about yourself, and she won’t push you beyond your budget with her recommendations).

Kristen has done my hair for years, and even as I’ve moved further away for school/work, I still try to sneak an appointment with her every time we are in the same vicinity. She most recently did tape in hair extensions and baby highlights to help thicken up and brighten up my naturally fine blonde hair. It was my first time getting extensions, and I loved it! It was surprisingly quick because she really knows what she’s doing (and I don’t have that much hair), and each piece was carefully and painlessly placed. She knows I like to wear my hair half-up, so she accommodated this and placed them strategically so they wouldn’t show with the style.

Now let me talk about the highlights. Kristen has done variations of highlights for me for many years, and when I tell you she is an ARTIST, I mean it! (Side note- If you get to know her a bit, you’ll find out that she is an artist in many ways, with many mediums, and has been since she was a child). She does such a beautiful job with highlights- every one is thoughtfully and artfully painted. Overall, Kristen really listens to what you want and makes you look and feel good. She is kind and truly a good person.

She took the time to make me feel welcome. She was very patient and didn’t rush my haircut appointment. I love her salon and can’t wait for my next appointment!

I absolutely love Kristen! She did my hair on my wedding day. She exceeded my expectations, she knows what she is doing and also very kind hearted. She did a loose, pretty side braid with added extensions to make it longer. She really made me feel special on my big day! I highly recommend !!

This is a professional but very homey and comfortable salon. . I have short, thick hair and Kristen cut and thinned it for me. It felt so new and refreshed. I also had highlights done which turned out fabulous. If you are looking for a professional hairstylist who listens to your requests, then You are looking for Kristen. . I highly recommend
