This was my Grandfathers business for more than eighteen years and I always enjoyed every visit to see him and my Grandmother.My Grandfather would often be repairing cars or repairing a radiator sometimes late into the night.I worked for him a few times in youth on my school breaks and I truly enjoyed the opportunity.He always made sure every customer was satisfied with his work and never left with a complaint.He sold this business to his son thirty one year ago in 1985.I could be mistaken but I think I remember the name of the buisness being displayed above the front of the shop.My grandfather Orville Bondy and his wife Elizabeth owned this buisness as well as a car lot that was at this location and a propane station.This property included 25 acres of land a portion was rented out to farmers who planted crops there.I was told the quary also referd to as alied chemical had ask him and other land owners on the road to sell there properties to them they refused and a number of them signed and agreement to not sell there properties to the quarries.Some time before my grandfather passed away I was told he and his son Phillip Bondy came to an agreement for Phillip to become the new owner of this property.The car lot is no longer There and there don't seem to be a propane station.There is no buisness name sign posted on the property.
