Excellent lunch on the island. Tried a breakfast croissant, a pasta salad, a samosa, and a lovely peach tart. Leave yourself lots of time to explore the island if you're coming off the ferry at the same time as everyone else as there are limited dining options on the island this time of year.
The service is excellent and the Croissants and feta and spinach pastries were excellent. The breakfast sandwich was good (I would ask them to skip the mayo next time) and it's great to eat before going to the ferry.
In this COVID time, only 1 person is allowed into the shop at one time. I found it very kind when someone had paid and was simply waiting for their order to be packaged to step out and let the next person browse.
The Brisket sandwich could be easily the one to a make come back all the way ?
We had to wait in line today since everyone who gets off the ferry seems to go rent a bike and immediately come up here. Worth the wait. My husband said it was the best rib sandwich he has ever had in his life. My turkey sandwich was also excellent and fresh - and we shared some wonderful pastries too.
We stopped here three times on a two day visit - I shouldn't have to say more than that but I will. Pulled pork and brisket sandwiches were stop #1. Both delicious. Stop #2 (under the guise of ordering a pizza) was a blueberry turnover - very tasty. Stop #3 was pizza pick up - pizza was very good, hot out of the oven and has a really flavourful sauce. Enjoyed the Big Lebowskis - cream cheese filled, using topped pastries. A "must stop" if you visit the island.
