Lifetimes on Riverside

I was first introduced to Lifetimes about 8 years ago, when my Aunt Eve was living there. I was always greeted with a smile and hello from the Front Desk staff. Eve was so well cared for by capable and loving caregivers. When my mom was ready for a Retirement Home, Lifetimes was the obvious choice. Not only did they welcome mom with open arms, but they also welcomed my brother, Michael, who has Down’s Syndrome. Mike is 55, and normally attends a day program. He absolutely LOVES living at Lifetimes. Why? Everyone smiles and says “Hi, Mike”; the kitchen staff make his lunch for work every day; he enjoys the weekly Happy Hours; the after dinner coffee get-togethers; the Calendar of Activities; and of course, the bananas and muffins that are always available to residents. All of the staff, from the Director, to the medical personnel, to the kitchen staff, cleaning crew, maintenance, etc. are very approachable and willing to figure out everyone’s needs and plan ways to ‘make things better’. Our family is truly grateful and happy knowing that Lifetimes provides a safe and loving environment for both mom and Michael. I would definitely recommend Lifetimes.

My Father has lived at Lifetimes for 2 years. We have found the staff to be professional,efficient and friendly. The care and the food are superb. They reacted the Covid-19 event swiftly and decisively. They took excellent and compassionate care of the residents during the crisis. The staff went above and beyond what was required of them to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents. My family is grateful to them and blessed that we have found such a loving place for my Dad to live.

Resident comfort and care is top priority. All departments go above and beyond what is expected to make residents happy.

The building has undergone a series of renovations and I hear a lot from people how welcoming it is when walking thorough the front door. Many rooms have a great view of the waterfront or our serene garden area with lots of trees including lilacs and forsythia. A quiet spot for bird watching too!

A fair share of the staff have been there 20 plus years which speaks volumes about the work environment. I am so proud to be a part of this amazing team!
