I really enjoy Higher Culture! They have a great menu and my order is always delicious. The atmosphere inside is very welcoming, warm and relaxed. Nicely decorated. I also really like just being able to pull up to the window on my bike order my drink quickly and continue on my way.
My only criticism is that the hours aren’t long enough. I would go much more often if it was open a few more hours, or later hours on a few days.
Very happy with my experience!
Small place, I went to lunch with my gf, and I'll run you through it:
Theres a sign out front with their menu on it, mostly sandwiches and wraps, a couple salads, and other things I didn't get to see as I had settled on classic chicken wrap. The menu is also available on their website for those who like to choose what to eat before they go
There was no line up as we walked to the takeout window to place our order (COVID, no indoor sitting), it was recieved quickly and we found a table out back. Our food was brought out within 15 minutes, may have been 10, really felt not long.
The corned beef sandwich was fantastic, and chicken wrap was stuffed with fresh veggies and good chicken. Both came with a good helping of kettle cooked chips, a long slice of what I'm guessing is garlic dill pickle, AND a small cucumber salad that was tasty. Nothing was dripping with sauce or dressing, which I really appreciate
A great spot for breakfast or lunch with excellent hot drink and dessert options as well. Always friendly and attentive service.
A first timer to this wonderful locale! The atmosphere is relaxed, hip and full of chef inspired foodie delights! The ceasar salad dressing was fab, all made in-house by the Chef. A choice of comfort food on the menu, went with the grilled cheese-very YUM. When you find yourself in the area, do yourself a favour- skip the big brand restaurants and hit up this amazing cafe! Wont be my last time visiting! See you there!
Fantastic lunch today, sampled a few items. D'Arcy and Mitch hit the spot, perfectly. Reuben sandwich was fantastic, and perogies with bacon, onion, and cheese were great, and locally sourced. Great tunes, also. Bring your own vinyl!
