Highly recommended!!! This place is rustic and cozy. Service is excellent and food is fresh and delicious. We had the Mill burger platter, the portobello mushroom burger and butter tarts, all amazing! Also, it was fun to look through the books collection. Can't wait to go back!
If you love books, you should go! Cafe is yummy too! Give yourself time to explore...you will need it!
What a charming establishment, it is a second hand book store with a cafe, inside what appears to be an old farm house. The service was super friendly, the food was absolutely delicious and the ambience was just right. Make sure you head up stairs and check out the amount of books they've been able to display up there, it's incredible. If you can't find a book that interests you here, I'd be very surprised. They also have washrooms available and a carpark on premises.
We love this place and make sure to stop in, when we are in the area. The selection of books is staggering. I'm a Sci Fi fan and their selection is the largest I've seen going way back. Then, there is the food! Oh goodness! It is excellent, they have the magic touch, and if you are on your own, only ask for the small fries, you'll be overwhelmed. Down along the river behind the mill are so many places for beautiful photos. You must stop by.
Don’t really have words. The selection and prices speak for me. You’ll find gems you can’t get anywhere else in Ontario any longer. Especially in the Art and History sections. The owners take great pride in their shop, you can tell by simple things like the absence of dust (anywhere- how is that possible?) and the subtle scent of wood polish on the stairway bannister. Can’t wait to go back and experience it as a cafe as well.
Outside there is a nature path and eating areas with flowers and bees buzzing. Such a lovely escape. Please wear a mask and wash your hands if you go. They’re also offering pickup for their cafe items!
