First time in this store. Looking for bird seed. What an interesting store it turns out. Everything from really nice coffee beans to pickled green beans in a jar. The young woman who served me was incredibly nice. Got the bird seed plus 2 specialty coffees. Really nice store in a nice little town.
Nice place to stop going between the Bruce Peninsula and Toronto. I really enjoyed their butter tart! At a reasonable price as well. I would definitely go back for it. Coffee was good too
My wife and I enjoy our stops at the Highland Grounds ....the coffee is great and the date squares are the best we have experienced here in Simcoe and Grey County. Don’t miss an opportunity to stop in you won’t be disappointed ....more to offer other than coffee and crumpets.
Thanks for displaying the Bridge Dedication Banner of a Fallen Member in Blue.

Outstanding coffee and quality baked goods. Fast and friendly service. Look after your local coffee shops, otherwise they'll all get Starbucked. This one is a fine example of why a privately owned, unique coffee shop is a good thing in a small town. It's a reflection of the place rather than a multi-national corporation painting everything with their logo and making everywhere feel the same. When it isn't pandemicky sitting in Highland Grounds on a cold morning with a hot coffee on 70's style red sparkle chairs reminds me of the banana seat I used to have on my bicycle.
The breakfast sandwich was delicious (most recent visit), and the coffee doesn't disappoint. I've been coming here for years, and have tasted different items (one of my favorites being soup). This visit I also picked up coffee, which was ground for me, from a massive selection of coffee beans. Love this place, and all the little/big things you can pick up.
