Incredible place, hosts are extremely nice and welcoming. Very clean rooms and clean house, different style rooms all very cool. I came here with my girlfriend over the summer. We had originally planned to arrive at 5pm but due to my girlfriend getting a bit of food poisoning we had to change our plans and ended up arriving at 1pm. Linda had absolutely no problem with the unexpected early arrival and welcomed us in kindly. I remember she said oh my gosh ya of course come in the only thing though and I’m really sorry about is that your room will have cream towels instead of white xD. Very nice and understanding. She offered us tea and made very good breakfast which was included. 100% worth the price which happens to be surprisingly affordable. I would’ve payed more and still been happy.
We had a great experience that far exceeded our expectations! Stayed for 2 nights over the weekend and really enjoyed it. The house is beautiful and you can do whatever you would like. We loved sitting out back with a glass of wine in the afternoon, I even went on the tree swing. Complimentary pops and waters with a fridge right outside the bedrooms was a nice touch. And breakfast was delicious both mornings. Linda and Paul were exceptional hosts and Linda has the best tips on what to do when you're in Owen Sound. Thanks guys! we'll be back next year :)
It was a pleasure to do some painting inside the Highland Manor. There is stunning plaster work throughout the building. From outside to in, the place is majestic. The owners Paul and Linda are excellent hosts, and they provide a beautiful heritage B&B to Owen Sound and it's visitors. Highly recommend any day over a hotel. Different league of hospitality. And great people to chat with!
Linda and Paul are excellent hosts, helpful in finding restaurant reservations and suggestions for touring the area. The breakfasts are delicious, especially the lemon souffle hotcakes, so light and fluffy! They're attentive to guest food allergies and needs. Our room was lovely, the bed was comfortable and the decor pleasing. The house has many interesting antiques and collectibles and the common rooms are friendly and inviting. We appreciated the serenity and peace.
We found a Gem! We love antiques and history; both can be found at the Highland Manor Inn! We stayed 2 nights, and wished we could have spent more time in the area. Our host's Linda & Paul were very friendly and accommodating. We loved how they pointed us in the right direction for sightseeing and local restaurants. Our room was very clean and quaint, with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast both mornings was delicious. Thank you Linda & Paul for a nice weekend and great conversation.
