Isn't painting supposed to be fun?
Well, yes, if it flows freely it is fun, in fact euphoric, but when you come back to earth to actually finish a painting, large or small, that's when the real work begins. When you reach a point of anal disgust with your creation, and want to flush it, resist because you may be onto something original. Remembering this, I have saved works, and they have evolved into the ones I like best.
