New Earth Estate

My wife and I visited for a little weekend getaway. We booked through airb&b. First of all...the hosts are fantastic. Very helpful and very accommodating. We loved the fire heated sauna and hot tub. The bathroom facilities were also pretty great given the 'backcountry' vibe of the place. We stayed in the tiny cabin...and it is as advertised...tiny. We stayed in late September and it got quite cold at night so the stove was a must. Had to get up several times through the night to add wood to stay warm. The ladder to the upper level is brutal on the feet. You really need to wear shoes. The small river out front is pretty. It's pretty being down in the valley. The tree cover is extensive...I can't imagine the bugs in the summer! I think we nailed it on timing...

The 2hrs drive from the city of Toronto well worth the destination...even arriving at night and unsure how to find our Tipi in the dark, while lugging our belongings down a hill...the rustic setting, fire pit within your tipi was the best...for both your comfort and for cooking...nearby trails, falls...made for a full day of activity and return to laze by the fire with a good book, while dinner being grilled...a relaxed and peaceful experience I would definitely repeat! Bring extra firewood (readily available near by)!
