What a great experience! The dogs were wonderful, affectionate, and clearly had as much fun as we did. Winterdance staff gave great detail as to how their dogs are their family. The half-day tour was perfect for our group. Well worth the price.
Can’t say enough positive things about our experience and the people at Winterdance. Everyone makes certain your experience is the best it possibly can be. We were able to mush our own dogs and had lots of time to pet them and takes pictures. They take fantastic care of all the dogs. Highly recommend for all your dog sledding needs! The maple syrup they sell is delicious so I recommend you purchase some while you’re there. Looking forward to making it back sometime soon. Thank you Hank, Barb and everyone else!
Sublime experience managed by a competent and experienced team of dog-sledding professionals. I thought this would be expensive for the family but once I understood the complexity and how unique this experience is, I must say I now think this was money well spent to create a lasting memory for our family.
Everyone in our party and particularly my 12 year old daughter had the time of their lives dog sledding for the first time and spending time with the dogs and giving them water after their hard work.
The dogs are incredibly sociable, friendly and playful. Everyone thought it was incredible that every single dog was so friendly to kids and adults alike while showing incredible athletic abilities in dog sledding.
Staff members are kind, accommodating and genuinely nice people who love what they do. Dustin, our lead is a really nice and caring person as everyone else I communicated with while making our reservation. Oh...the gift shop sells really nice, good quality sweaters and maple syrup from their trees.
I would recommend this to families and those seeking to reconnect with nature and their inner selves. I would go back in a heart-beat and planning to go on the longer half-day dog sledding adventure, because the 2 hour trip goes by so fast!
Such a wonderful experience with Winterdance! We did a half-day tour and it was the perfect amount of time that felt like a long trail while getting to know the dogs. You can tell that the owners and all of the staff really care about all of their huskies. The guides are well-educated about them and were always happy and eager to share information and answer our 100s of questions. Highly recommend as a day out!
It was our first time dog sledding so we did a half day and that was perfect. It's more physical than you would think. Our experience was great! All aspects of our experience here was great, everyone is friendly and the guides were awesome. Of course the dogs were the best part and they were all wonderful and friendly. Social distancing is not an issue and appropriate guidelines are being followed. If you're thinking about it, you should definitely do it.
