A museum full of local history. With many interesting things to see, from past local and major events, sports, 19th century appliances, remembrance, sawmill dioramas, merchandise, past store items, and most importantly the people, tools and machinery that shaped and built this town!
Friendly and welcoming staff as well, who give little tidbits and facts on the exhibits. Even on the mythical boar creature who you first see when you walk through the door.
You will find some very interesting past events that took place in this town. We enjoyed our visit
I enjoyed this small local museum. I liked the display of logging related artifacts including steam machines. I also liked the old ads of local car dealers. Very friendly staff.
I was at the museum for a Hike Safe Program but had a little time to poke around the museum. Super interesting and I'll be back to check it out! Also there are nice snowshoe trails behind the building and other trails. I can't wait to go back!
Great place to visit, in a beautiful setting. Bonus of snowshoe/ hiking/ ski trails! And the sculpture forest, blacksmith shop and old homesteads are really neat. The museum itself seems to have something new/ different inside every time we go. The staff are very friendly! There were some interactive exhibits last time we went. Highly recommended!
