The Kinark Outdoor Centre

Great place, great staff except the ones from the kitchen..not friendly... I feel a great amount of discrimination from the kitchen staff from whites to colors kids when serving food but overall it 's a great place for family fun.

My son join 5 days 4 nights Autism Camp. He got a lot of fun. The staffs are professional to take care about the Kids. They have their own room to sleep. A lot of activities for them. Also, they report your children performance once every 2 days. We must join again on next year.

Loved it! We went for a Learning/Respite weekend. Our son had a fairly good time for a kid who avoids going outside if at all possible. My husband and I learned a lot of invaluable information and met other great parents and shared thoughts and ideas. Came home with a brighter outlook than we've had for awhile.
The camp sits on 85 acres (lots of woods for hiking!) With its own private lake. The staff were very nice and really good with the kids - they knew exactly how to handle any situation. Accommodations and food were what you would expect at a camp. Was happy to see fresh fruits and salad fixings. Lots for the kids to do; rock-climbing, swimming, boating, fishing, archery, crafts etc. Campfire and roasting marshmallows in the evening.

I would live here if I could.
That might be a bit of a stretch, but our family had the best time. The only problem is we live too far to likely be able to go again.
The staff all seem to well understand how to be helpful. Even the new ones. The atmosphere wad great. They treated my special needs kids with respect, and solid friendliness WITHOUT infantilizing them. It can be a hard line to keep, but they do it, and they do it well.

This place is great! So many activities to enjoy! Rock climbing, hiking, boat riding, canoeing, high rope, etc. We had fantastic weekend there! Staff is so supportive and friendly! Thank you, Claire and Sam, who were our guides! You made our experience unforgettable.
