Greatest teachers ❤️ thanks Nicole!
We have been very pleased with Nicole and her team at West End Kumon. We commenced mid-way through the pandemic with our early elementary-aged child. The centre has been very accommodating with scheduling (virtual and in-person options available) and the weekly booklets are always well organized. Progress reports are provided and are thorough and insightful (virtual meetings for now). Nicole and her team also very graciously navigated the transitions around masking so that all feel comfortable. We would highly recommend West End Kumon and have seen the increased confidence, speed, and accuracy in our child's arithmetic even after 8 months!
Nicole is woderful. Kumon works. Do not waste time. Take advantage of Kumon when your kids are young.
I am currently a med-sci/AEO student at Western University and was in Kumon for about 5-6 years. I can confidently say that Kumons Math program is unmatched to any in its class. I was always years ahead of my classmates and have never really needed to study during high school. This opened up a lot of free time allowing me to do various sports, extracurriculars as well as become a Lifegaurd. Evidence of Kumons efficiency is that both, I and my twin brother averaged 99% in both Grade 12 Advanced Functions and Calculus. Yes we were those kids in class. This was not all due to Kumons program but also its exceptional staff. Nicole the director of this specific branch truly is my favourite instructor throughout my many years of school. Her patience and understanding really is in-human. I remember when I was around 15 I was stuck on this math booklet for more than 2 hours and Nicole sat with me through all of it. Looking back she could've easily told me to take it home after 1 since that was my lesson block however that's not the type of person Nicole is. If you have a kid and you're wondering if putting him through all of this is worth it, let me tell you it is. Not only will he/she be the smart one in school but they will learn something way more important. Discipline. This Program is 365 days a year with maybe two weeks off (if you ask for it), so it's tough. Take it from a 20 year old reminiscing about all the things good and bad he did in his life, I sure am glad my parents put me through this program.
I have worked at this Kumon centre for nearly five years. Within that time, I have seen students grow as learners. When students join our centre, they each receive an individual learning plan and the support they need to progress in the program. I have worked with children from the start of the program, both as classroom and early learning support, and seen them progress through the levels into independent learning. We offer prompt assistance whenever students struggle with material, and challenge students who excel.
