Been here just over 2 years. Building was sold late 2019 to Starlight. Nice tenants, nice building managers and staff. That said, this building dates from the 1960s with all the wear and tear that comes from 60 years of life. We have found management responsive but we haven't had any dire problems. Under the previous management, we had a ceiling leak in the living room, but they attended to that on the same day. We are totally bug free. Kitchen and bathroom need upgrades, kitchen cabinetry is original plastic cabinetry from the 60s, and bathroom does not have an outlet or fan. The plumbing is undergoing upgrades and we requested and received a detailed response when we asked why they need water shut-off to building approximately one day per week. Like any other building I've ever lived in, the cleaning and maintenance staff are asked to do the impossible, which they accomplish most of the time. However, it's as clean as anywhere I've been. Security is a challenge given our location but we do have staff, and the phone number goes to security if you see something you need to report. Management has advised all tenants that the building will be undergoing major upgrades.
Location cannot be beat for convenience, transit, stores, government, etc.
