Great Filipino food and awesome people that own and run the place. They treat you like family which is unheard of these days.
Went to Ricos for the first time Sunday April 14th. It's a small restaurant with about 36 seats . They serve Filipino cuisine there which is nice , considering theres only 2 other Filipino places to get a sit down meal in Hamilton. My family first well theres my wife...( my wife being Filipino) and myself a Canadian, really love Filipino food, TALAGA!!!
I think Rico's is a nice restaurant. Its clean. The food is fresh looking and taste very nice. The food serving area( steam table & plating area are kept very clean . Polite , fast & friendly staff. Nice menu , and they rotate some food items too.. they also have a nice refrigerated show case for dessert aswell. Last but not least they do also have some breads and other items for sale aswell . So in a nutshell , good location with good parking ( right in front of the restaurant) great food, wonderful staff, clean , all in all a pleasant visit will be had every time)
Really loved this place. The staff is super nice
I have never in my life tried Filipino cooking......until today. It was an explosion of flavor in my mouth only home cooking could provide. The price was fair for the portions, and the staff we super friendly and helped me figure out what to try. Will definitely be a return customer. I suggest this place even if you know nothing about the food.
This is basically a fast food style restaurant with some seating but no table service. The server behind the counter was very friendly and gave us samples of a number of dishes since we are totally unfamiliar with Filipino food. Based on that we had a Combo 1 and a Combo 2 with pork kare kare (excellent) and beef adobo (very good but quite a bit of gristle/fat). I also had a spring? roll which was very good. The place got very busy with Filipinos as we were finishing. What we, as strangers to Filipino cooking, would find helpful is to have labels above each dish listing its name and general ingredients.
