Major Construction

Brodie was the most professional contractor I have worked with. I have had bad experiences and even lost money with other contractors who never completed work, did poor work or just plain scammed me! Do yourself a favor and don't think the "cheapest" contractor will save you anything, and go for someone who has a good reputation. He has completed my deck, and I will be using him for basement renovations and further work to my backyard because he is very reliable and responsible. These projects are a lot of money so make sure you go with someone who stands behind their work and cares about the results and respects meeting your expectations as a customer.

A few positive qualities:
-excellent communication
-shows up on time and when he says he will and works hard each day to get the job done
-cleans up after himself and doesn't leave a mess
-respectful and professional attitude
-works collaboratively with the home owners to meet their vision of the project outcome
-his background includes formal education and experience in his trade and the work reflects this with high quality workmanship. He is not just a handyman with a hammer and tools.

We are thrilled with the multi-level deck that Brodie built for us. He obviously cared about his finished product. This was apparent in his attention to details and meticulous craftsmanship. He was willing to work with us when we told him what we wanted as well as offering his own suggestions and improvement ideas. 2020 was a crazy year to build a deck due to lumber shortages everywhere, but Brodie had the foresight to purchase what he could in advance of the project to ensure we had quality lumber for our deck. He even took the extra time to hand pick each piece of cedar. He started right on schedule, communicated when he would be there, and finished on schedule despite a few rainy days. He left our property neat and tidy at the end of each day. Our contract with him was kept and any changes were discussed and approved by us. There were no surprises. In the end we were left with a deck that we are proud of. We are looking forward to next summer when we can enjoy it again.

Being a former general contractor I've seen a lot of contractors in action. But Brodie definitely steps it up a notch, himself being a trained licensed carpenter has taken his skills to a different level . The quality and the level of his detail have surpassed many of craftsmen out there. Yes I am his father and he has done work for me, and would recommend him for any home related construction, renovation or restoration. I've saw many of his jobs and their always done meticulously. I constantly hear how what a great job your son has done and the skills he has are beyond his years we are so happy we found him.
