Terrific selection of local fresh produce. Worth the trip. Also, excellent coffee in the cafe. Thanks!
Loved my first experience of this fantastic store! Staff was super friendly and helpful. They have a great selection for vegan and vegetarian diets! I have found my new favourite place to shop for my local produce!
I love this shop! Their little café makes delicious coffees. They have a great selection of local, organic, and natural products. Prices are comparable to regular grocery stores. Their selection of breads is fantastic but you have to get there early before they're gone.
Good selection of local and specialty products that are hard to find elsewhere. They have a lot of the products you are used to buying from other stores as well. Staff is very friendly too. I have been shopping here exclusively for a couple months now and noticed a few very unexpected side effects.
1. My grocery shopping has gone from taking between 45 minutes and an hour to only taking 15 to 20 minutes. The store is small enough that you aren't walking 2kms to get all your items, and you aren't searching through tens of thousands of products you don't need.
2. Grocery shopping is now an enjoyable activity instead of a chore. I enjoy coming to "the seed" so much that I often split my grocery shopping into two smaller trips so I can go twice in a week. The super friendly staff plays a big role in this. The atmosphere is also much more inviting than a standard grocery store.
3. I spend less money on groceries! Since shopping at the mustard seed I have transitioned a lot of my groceries to bulk items, which I have found to be much cheaper. Also because I do weekly grocery shopping instead of bi-weekly, I throw out a lot less food now.
PRO TIP: Bring reusable produce bags(cloth, mesh, etc.) and you save $0.25 for each produce item you buy.
