Just finished my 2nd session in Joanne's class for people preparing or recovering for hip & knee replacement. Excellent.
The class focused on your whole body & how everything is effected, not just the knee or hip. Joanne was very good at explaining & working us through the motions.
I'll be back in the Fall to continue in Restorative Yoga. Great for mind & body.
Andrea Soos strength based approach allowed me to get to the source of my hip and back pain and recuperate ease and balance in my movement. I love being reminded in class that movement doesn't have to be complicated to be a challenge for the body. Andrea's therapeutic yoga classes are unique. I've attended her classes for nearly 20 years and I truly believe they have contributed greatly to my physical and mental wellbeing:and that says nothing about the friendships I've formed with other members of the class. Classes are always welcoming and "safe". Andrea gently stretches, flexes and strengthens the body( including muscles I didn't know I had) and by the end of the class the mind is renewed and relaxed. I highly recommend her classes.
Andrea's Restorative Yoga Studio is where I go every week to connect with my inner body. As an experienced instructor, Andrea has a unique way of patiently communicating ways in which we can enliven our sense of how our bodies can move better. Andrea Soos Yoga Studio responds to the needs of her students. If you have physical difficulties that impinge on your ability to perform certain movements, Andrea will provide with an alternative that supports what your body can accomplish. Over the years, all the staff at the Studio are constantly upgrading and developing new approaches. As the student, you benefit from the new ideas that are presented by the Andrea and her staff. Each term the staff offer new and different workshops which help students deal the aftereffects of hip surgery or back issues etc. As a student, you always have the opportunity to learn new movements that facilitate your emotional and physical being. This is the only Yoga Studio that offers these types of classes.
