Dundas Valley....great park, riding, hiking, jogging, birding, etc. Bruce trail crosses through the park.
Good for all year round outdoors.
Enjoy.
My favourite trail is the main loop, there’s something new to see every time
This is a nice place for a tame hike. Most of the various trails through this area are wide, and many are gravel. They are wide enough (generally) to walk side-by-side - this is different from many spots on the nearby Bruce Trail where, if you're hiking with a partner, you need to hike one in front of the other.
There are places where the area can be accessed from residential streets if you want to avoid a parking fee.
Near the main parking lot (Parking Lot C) there is an old railway station/interpretive area/building with a concession stand and indoor washrooms.
It is just stunning here. The scenery here is almost unbelievable. If that or photography is your thing, this is a must-visit. One of my favourite places to go to, ever; I am always left in awe! Personally, the trails I go through here are not at all crowded.
I’d advise appropriate footwear as mine are often left muddy and/or wet. Also, beware if you come a day or three after rain. The grounds will remain soaked (plus, lots of puddles!), which means the upward hikes here won’t likely be the best idea.
Nice fall after a Hiking trail . Worth visiting
Best part about this trail is there are 3 entry spots to the hike so depending upon your ability to u can choose to hike accordingly. And each spot has its own parking.
They charge per car thats a good thing, Not per person .
