(April 13, 2018, 3:02 am)I went to an open house for a local artist a few weeks ago. The Gallery on the Bay took me by surprise. It is a very quaint gallery and very professionally run. There was a small bar and stage with live music and a beautiful spread of cheese, fruit and hor d’oeuvres. The owner was very welcoming and willing to chat about the artist and her love her Hamilton and its culture. I will definitely be going back!!

(June 13, 2014, 7:55 pm)They have such an incredible variety of artwork by some very talented Canadian artists. I just saw their historical collection which is also really great! They have George Wallace, Kathy Kollwitz and Leonard Baskin original works and more! This gallery is a definite must see when you are in the city!

Founded in 1995 by Marlaise & David, Gallery on the Bay is located in a building that was once the headquarters of a Steel Company, then a school, then a union hall in the 80's and 90's, and now the home to artists, writers, actors, filmmakers, and musicians.
