Thoroughly enjoyed this place! Hamilton has a very progressive food scene. Great food. Great wine. Incredible service. Thanks for a great dinner!
I was going to revise a previous review about food quality until my main arrived. A mac and cheese so soaked in oil that even I couldn't finish it, and salty to the point that it tasted bitter... I finished what I could and the rest was soaked in a deep layer of grease. I have to maintain my view that the food here is not great. It may be serviceable and some items can be well executed, but the overall quality is very uneven. I can recommend the starter (goat cheese croquette) but the main was awful.
Overall, Aberdeen Tavern seems to be getting worse. The food is mediocre and overpriced and the service is a bit on the tardy side. Overall the menu is fairly dull and they seem to overreach with certain cuisine types. The good thing about here remains the overall surroundings and atmosphere. Good for business lunches where you don't foot the bill and little else.
Went for brunch. Sat on the gorgeous courtyard patio. Had great food, great coffee and an amazing Caesar! Our server was fantastic and made us feel welcome. Would absolutely recommend!
We always enjoy any meal we have at this restaurant. They quality is always consistent. The wait staff is always attentive and professional. You will not be disappointed!
Easily one of the city’s best restaurants. Warm, friendly staff, great food, in the most beautiful setting.
This place is completely versatile. You can put on jeans and have a great meal with a pal, have a romantic dressed-up dinner, or host a wedding or private party upstairs in their function room.
The best seat in the house is the chef’s rail. It’s a four seat butcher block bar that overlooks the kitchen. Great for a dinner with some added entertainment. They also have most quiet and romantic tables within the restaurant. They can meet all your needs.
The patio in the summer is like a secret garden— easily one of the best in the city. Their menu is small but diverse, and every last item is delicious. They also accommodate well for veg and gluten free.
