Halibut House Fish & Chips

Went there in the afternoon to dine-in with my uncle! The Cod was amazing and the cheesecake just got me addicted and wanting to go back! This review is not only for the great food, but it’s for the way the servers go out of their way to create such a great experience and make you feel appreciated here. Thank you!

We recently decided to get fish and chips for dinner from Halibut House, since they are the new restaurant in the neighbourhood. We were impressed! Great portions, fish and chips both done perfectly, and a beautiful clean restaurant. The service was warm and helpful. We look forward to returning.

Okay so just ordered here from lunch through Skipthedishes and was quite happy with the results.

We ordered a cheeseburger and chips and a haddock and chips.

First of all. Those chips are fantastic, I would argue one of the best I've had in Hamilton so or that alone I will be ordering from them again.

The fish was great as well. It tasted fresh and was nicely cooked. The batter was alright, I've had better, but it was definitely good. But giving credit where it's due, the fish was battered nicely, not too much, not too little. It was just right.

The burger? Well my roommate nodded and said 'It was good' so as he's not an overly talkative fellow about food, that's a pretty positive review.

My only complaint is that they didn't send enough malt vinegar. Ha!

Will definitely order from them again

Delicious dinner and friendly service! I had the halibut and chips and it was perfect. Hubby had Wednesday special, $8 cod and chips. Excellent too and a great value.

It was our second visit but this time we went at 330pm ... Almost the only ones there so we got lots of personal service from Conner and the cook!

Ate here for the first time this evening & it was very good & very reasonably priced. Our servers were very pleasant & attentive. I wouldn't say this was the best fish & chips in Hamilton ...#3 I'd say. Restaurant was very clean & didn't smell of fish. Nice atmosphere. Definitely will be back & will recommend!
