So impressed with their online order system. Needed to send a care package during our self-isolation and I was thrilled to see that it was only $5.00 for door drop off in the Hamilton Area. The products are reasonably priced and the shipping options are amazing (especially since this is a local, small business - not amazon prime). I HIGHLY recommend shopping through A Greener Place's website. I looked at similar options in bigger cities and nothing compares. A Greener Place has competitive prices and is doing wayyyy more to serve their costumers in terms of shipping!
Some may call it hippy. I say its a great start to us helping our planet. Bring a jar or recycled soap dispenser to use or donate.
Warm, inviting and lovely staff.
What a gem to have in our little town. I picked up some necessities and a few things I didn't even know I needed. How spectacular to eliminate the packaging from big box retailers while supporting a local business. I will DEFINITELY make this a regular stop for many household products.
Amazing selection of low waste and organic supplies, everything from bulk shampoo, detergent and dish soap to eco friendly toys, home decor and low waste makeup! Highly recommend.
I have found that the prices are fair in comparison to online competitors! Most of all, I love that you can go in and hold the items in your hand before buying them. Often, I find myself looking for sustainable options online and then not purchasing. Being able to explore these sustainable alternatives in a beautiful store with a really calming atmosphere makes the experience enjoyable.
I have purchased several items that I have really enjoyed. The clay mask, the bath salts (scooped into a donated glass jar I will absolutely be reusing), the well kept safety razor (which works spectacularly) and more! I have nothing but good things to say about the products.
What I find most admirable about the store though is the Owner. She answers questions knowledgeably and is approachable and friendly, but at the same time she doesn't pressure you. She allows your time there to be an experience between you and the products that you are carefully selecting. Sustainability means buying things you intend to keep and her method allows you to make the right choice for your lifestyle.
This is a store you will be happy you spent time in.
