Superb historian, curator, Mr. Morton
Great food, good company and lots of holiday spirit. The Heritage Centre has so much history of the Twed area. Lots of hard work by the Directors and volunteers. Needs to be supported by the community. We bought a few Christmas gifts there. Lots more to buy.
Had a fund raising sale and got some good deals
A wonderful place! Part museum & part re-search facility. Staffed totally by volunteers, including a former teacher who has been the curator since opening day about 30 yrs ago. Guided tours of approx. 2 hrs cost only $5. So many artifacts & items from early days in Tweed & surrounding area have been donated over the yrs. As a registered charity, the Heritage Centre is totally funded by donations & money raised from yard sales held from spring to fall each year. The local municipal council provides almost zilch to support this wonderful centre the area is so blessed to call its own. Its open six days a week from 9 a.m. to noon & from 1 to 5 p.m. Please make a point to visit the facility when you are in Tweed. Financial donations are always welcomed, whether for present day support or for the endowment fund so it will still be here in years to come.
Amazing place packed full of local history
