Fabulous location for a rustic getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our cabin nestled along the Maitland River. We enjoyed the easy access to fishing and the hiking trails. Our site and cabin were very clean, and it was fairly quiet especially after 11pm. We will be returning and would highly recommend!
Such a great experience here at our friends RV. Limited amenities due to Covid but pool, trails and other things were awesome. Whole campground was clean and well maintained and the kids loved the freedom to explore and spend time outside.
Great family friendly atmosphere! Lots of family fun stuff going on around the camp.
We are seasonal campers and always enjoy being here. Nick and Sam the managers are amazing always friendly and helpful. They make everyone feel like family. I highly recommend you to come and stay.
This is a GREAT campground! Booked for a wknd and extended for a week. Staff are extremely accommodating and have a passion for what they do. We’ve never thought about staying seasonally at any park because we like to explore and go on adventures but this park has us thinking twice.
We’ve been to some parks where the seasonal lots and overnight lots are completely separate and there’s sometimes a feeling of animosity between overnighters and seasonal... Not this park! Great layout and all campers are extremely friendly and respectful. We were curious how camping would be with the covid restrictions in place but we are self contained (travel trailer) and this park is taking all necessary steps to abide by guidelines and keeping everyone safe. Some of the amenities are currently closed due to the restrictions (pool, showers, playground, etc.) but honestly with all of the other activities that can be done we don’t feel like we missed out.
Great roads/trails for hiking/biking for little ones and adults, river is warm and great for floating on tubes or rafts, but by far the biggest surprise was the Elk Compound attached to the park. Really neat to see the elk in a natural environment and definitely a hit with the kids (what campground has elk in it!?).
Overall a 5 stars for everything. Good mix of sites (wide open pull through to secluded private sites in treed areas). Also has dependable wifi which makes working from the campground a breeze if needed.
We will be back soon!
Thanks so much for a great stay Steve, Sam and Nick. Keep up the excellent work!!
