Our family has been at Pyes landing for 26 years, great place for getting the heck out of Manitoba
Had my Camper here for 4 years. The peiple are wonderful, the owners are excellent, the staff is great. Lots of amenities, foraging, fishing, hiking etc...
Stayed a month at Pye's Landing for the 3rd year and enjoyed the friendly guests and hosts. After Thanksgiving weekend closure, we moved to Redden's Camp at Longbow Lake and were we stayed for an additional 2 weeks. Even when the water had to be turned off due to below zero temps, they made sure we could fill our fresh water tanks with hoses from the main building.
Great folks, friendly staff on beautiful LOTW.
Decent area, fairly spacious overnight site. Friendly workers. Washroom facilities for the overnight area are still under construction, so you have to walk up to the shop. Would have been a great stay if we had been warned about the horrifying Tick problem. We have spent years living and travelling through Ontario and Yellowknife and never have we faced what can only be described as a severe infestation of Ticks the way we have after one night here. Our dogs are completely covered with them and we've already removed hundreds. If you plan to stay here, make sure your pups have tick treatments ready, and stay off the grass.
We were able to get a site here while passing through.
The campground appears to be split in two and separated by the highway. We were in the north side.
Our site was a pull through and quite honestly, there was nothing wrong with it other than a little small but for us, that was fine for a stopover. One issue we found though was the site across the way had a truck and boat parked on the road right in front of us which then made the idea of a pull through useless as there was no room to maneuver out. The woman who brought us to our site did not seem to impressed with that so maybe that will be rectified. We had to back out and go well around.
The campground is being expanded and the newer sections look very nice. This is not the side of the highway with the lake so no water views here.
Power was solid with brand new power posts. Water was also good. Pressure was great. There were only a handful of campers there so I do not know if either the voltage or water pressure would drop with a full campground but I bet it wouldn't. This side of the highway was new and was well serviced.
They do not take credit or debit cards so be aware of that but at 45 a night, cash was just fine.
End result was it was fine but I bet the other side of the highway was much prettier
