Great Service. Great tasting coffee. Very homelike feel and environment, 100% recommended
Service was great. Heather (our server) was very accommodating. We had breakfast and it was very nicely cooked with fresh ingredients like their homemade sausage patties. Really cool decor. It was an actual school house before confederation.
An adorable little restaurant in a converted schoolhouse just north of the Main st drag (turn right on Sauble River Rd and left on 81st St - it’s on the left side across from the post office, if you get to the TD Canada Trust you have gone too far), about a 10-15 min walk. Lots of parking available, I think (although we walked).
This is a nicer restaurant (beach attire not appropriate) with a small, but relaxing, patio, several tables on the main floor and a bar area downstairs. Everyone is super friendly!
They get busy so reservations are highly recommended. The food was good (we had homemade burgers and fries) although the menu is fairly restrictive as they don’t serve breakfast, smoothies or sandwiches after 4pm. Although the menu had lots of options, for a picky eater, this presented a bit of an issue.
The restaurant is on a main toad but surrounded by big trees giving the impression of a nature oasis within the town. The backyard has a river, benches and area for kids to run around. Very zen. Very beautiful.
There is a park further north on 81st for the kids to release any additional energy.
Well worth a visit!
This is a really cosy restaurant in Grand Bend that serves a good breakfast. While their portions may not be quite as large as some restaurants, I am always satisfied when I leave. I would highly recommend their breakfast biscuits, which are absolutely amazing - but make sure that you go early in the morning as they do run out!
Just love the relaxing vibe in the patio at The Schoolhouse in Grand Bend! Tucked in amongst the greenery and trees, it is such a nice place to sit and have a nice meal with a friend or a loved one! You are literally 2 mins to the main intersection, but if feels like you are miles away! The food is good, the staff timely in their service and friendly. Skip the usual bars and enjoy a lovely meal!
