We had been wanting to visit a maple farm for quite some time now and so were thrilled to have discovered Ryan's sweet maple while we were away.
We were honoured to have been greeted by Ryan's father, Bill who took us on a tour of the place.
Such a kind and genuine man. Honestly, meeting this guy was an experience in its own - you just don't meet people like that so often anymore. A true, rare gem. May God bless him and his sweet soul.
I'm not sure which was sweeter, Bill or the maple syrup ????????
The tour was impressive. They were under renovations but by God that didn't stop this man from giving his tour and lesson????. We learnt so much and the process was just mindblowing. The pristine, meticulous process.... The conditions you need to make the perfectly sweet syrup...it just really makes you appreciate it. All of the machinery was new. Everything was so clean and well kept. Even their antiques and olden day utensils were astonishing.
He wouldn't take a tip for his time even though he was busy. He traded for candies! Now I must say, I've had these little maple candies before and they are INCOMPARABLE to what Bill gave us. We were fighting over the last one and pathetically ended up splitting it. Lmao.
The maple syrup did not disappoint. It was unlike anything I've ever tasted and am embarrassed to say I tried it on eggo waffles which absolutely did not deserve to have such divine gold substance poured over them.
Thank you so much for this. We cannot describe how much fun we had and what it meant to us and hope to see some more of that syrup soon!!
From tree to table - it can't get any better than Ryan's sweet maple.
Super friendly, family ran. Was an absolute pleasure to meet Ryan and his father who took the time to give us a brief history of how maple syrup has been harvested over the years as well as how they do it now.
Ryan's Maple Syrup is top notch! A must try for maple syrup lovers.
Excellent
