My daughter had the opportunity to buy a ring from a friend at school. The young lady had purchased it for over $220 and wanted only $200 for it. Very pretty ring but I told my daughter she should have someone look at it first to be sure she was getting her monies worth. (She has a part time job and had enough to buy it but I wanted to be sure it was worth it). We messaged Burns and asked if they would look at it. He said for sure, to bring it in. He took a quick look at it and could tell right away the value. We never told the owner of Burns how much was being asked for it but he told my daughter to not pay more than $125. Then he took her to the counter and explained that she could buy a brand new one for less than $125. He said it was a good idea to come in. The young lady that was selling the ring to her was not trying to rip her off but probably just didn’t know the true value of it and he suggested she offer her $125 or not buy it at all. He also explained to her about “buyer beware”. She did actually pick something beautiful and asked if we could buy it for her for her next birthday.

There was no pressure to purchase anything when we were there and he was very patient.
