(June 23, 2018, 5:35 am)The Grotto Artworks was created in 2005 when 13 Merrickville artists decided to pool their talents and resources to provide a year round venue to showcase their works.
In June of 2012, after seven years at its original location on Brock Street, the gallery relocated to 110 Main Street East in a circa 1860 historic stone building that is also occupied by the Baldachin Inn and Restaurant.
Today the Grotto Artworks offers a wide range of local fine crafts including pewter, pottery, jewellery, wood turnings, woven silk scarves, carvings, glass and textile arts. Original works of art in oil, collage, acrylics, watercolour and mixed media along with letterpress prints are also featured.
