427 (London) Wing

The 427 Wing is a fantastic place to have Friday lunch, attend one of their amazing Events and book their hall for any family and friend gathering. They are wonderful people at The Wing. Special shouts out to both Flo & Linda. Love this place.

A lot of interesting things to see here!

This is an enjoyable vintage memorial to London's contribution to Canada's World War II air force effort. There, you can see interesting memoribilia and can occassionally chat with the Air Force veterans. With good weather, it is definitely worth a bike ride there.

I found out about this organization from a relative. I was able to connect with one of their members so that I could donate some of my Father's WW2, R.C.A.F. memorabilia. I don't believe my father ever knew this place existed or it would have been on his monthly itinerary to drop in and listen or tell some old stories.
Years ago I drove my father to a Fighter Pilot Reunion, at the Downsview airport and was told by one of the wives there..."that when the boys get together, their planes may have flown higher and faster then in real life but they were allowed to "stretch" the truth because they all made it home". The 427 (London) Wing has that same feeling.
Thank you to the 427th for allowing me to give a little of my father's history so that you may share it with those that follow.

Neat Aviation Museum. A nice add on before or after the Jet Museum. Also visit the Secrets of Radar Museum and the London Amateur Radio Club station at the same site.
