Highly recommend this school - really great environment, and excellent teachers. Steve makes sure everything runs smoothly and provides wonderful customer service. My kids all have enjoyed piano classes there. The rates are also very reasonable.

Our kids enjoy lessons every week and even play on the way home because they’re so excited to learn songs they know! The staff is friendly and accommodating, prices are very reasonable. I enjoy the newsletter to keep us up-to-date. Highly recommended
Learning to play an instrument can be daunting, and coming at one as an older student makes it that much more so. I bought a violin on a whim last year and crunched my way through a couple of months on my own before deciding to take lessons at SMArts. Immediately I noticed a difference, and so did my downstairs neighbours.
The team at SMArts make it easy to learn, and motivated me to progress. They taught me what I needed to know, and adapted to my learning style. They challenged me to get better, and were always open to questions and challenges that I faced. Whether it was trouble with sound quality or shaky bow, my teacher (Jade) showed me the tricks that she used to fix the problems. Without her help I would not enjoy playing as much as I do.
The other interesting thing to note is that the school does not only teach classical music. Having had my fill of Mozart and Bach as a child, I wanted to focus my attention on East Coast and Irish fiddle. Jade was happy to oblige, and in the process of teaching me by ear taught me to read sheet music. I was convinced that I could not read sheet music, but SMArts made it possible.
I would recommend SMArts to anyone who wants to learn, young or old. Coming at it as an older student was different, but not nearly as difficult as I thought, and the team at SMArts helped me achieve what I set out to do. They are professional, energetic, and accommodating, and always willing to go the extra mile. It is the perfect place to learn.

Excellent and professional teaching staff. Reasonable lesson pricing with a fair and generous cancellation/make-up lesson policy. Highly recommend this great local small business!
