Victoria & Children’s Hospital

I've been taking my son to the pediatric cardiac area for a few months now. We have nothing but a great experience everytime we have been there since July. Very friendly staff, clean waiting room and exam rooms. The cardiologist was friendly and had seen us right away and a couple of appointments thereafter, the main RN has been great to work with and responds in a reasonable timeframe to any questions or concerns we have had. I've been very pleased with our experience.

Cannot express our gratitude enough for all of the PCCU staff at LHSC. Our son received the absolute best care, the team went above and beyond securing my husband and I a room at the Ronald McDonald House, and our nurses Emily, Alyssa, and Kora were so wonderful and understanding. Although I never want to experience it again, I cannot recommend LHSC enough when it comes to medical care for our children. Thank you, thank you!!

I can't speak for all wings of the hospital but I have been to the emergency here several times in the past 15 years and the nurses, doctors, and staff in general are always extremely kind, professional and overall wonderful and amazing human beings. I always feel well taken care of and sadly there are those entitled patients who think its ok to bash and cuss at the staff who are trying to help them. I was there today getting my lungs looked at and while waiting inside I could see the staff all dedicated and working hard to help everyone using all resources at their disposal. They are so patient and incredible to everyone and I feel very comfortable each time I have visited. Thank you to the amazing staff for being this way and know that you aren't taken for granted.

My Aunt just went in to emergency and was identified as needing immediate surgery as soon as possible for life threatening issues. I was contacted at my place of work immediately urged to come to the hospital. I am so thankful of the incredibly gifted and caring surgeons, nurses, orderlies and all support staff for the help and support they gave her. Despite the overflowing emergency room, shortage of staff and lack of rooms available they managed professionally and humanely to the best of their ability. I am in awe of all they did and hope people can for a moment appreciate what they provide to us all day by day relentlessly with little thanks or acknowledgement of the rock stars they truly are. It varies from visit to visit and the level of chaos both in terms of patient numbers and number of chaotic patients. Lots of good hardworking dedicated staff here including the help I got from the Mental Health Clinic with medications and getting my service dog, the emergency room can be a different story this was the second hospital to miss a nose requiring surgery and a fractured orbital rim when I was assaulted, despite telling me I had a concussion, the doctor told me that I could return to work "If I wanted to." Luckily a third opinion and I was not only off work PERMANENTLY but will be going for emergency surgery next week on the nose. A year later and I still have issues from the TBI, that I was told I could work through initially...
