The food was above average quality. The service great. I tried congee for the first time (specifically the tiger shrimp and scallop congee which was recommended to me by the waitress) it was very savory and delicious. It's a great comfort food. I'm definitely going to be trying more types of congee now. The mango desert at the end was also delicious and complementary. It is a little more on the pricey side though but not overpriced.
Went in a large group of 14 people, and the service was quick. The dishes weren't very clean and the menus were a bit worn out, but the food came in big portions and tasted on par with other good restaurants I've had the same dishes from. We had lots of leftovers to take out, so if we ordered less, we would've spent less than $20 per person and probably still would've had leftovers!
Went with my family and the portions are huge. We come here all the time and the food is meant to be shared as a group, but they do have some single portion items that come with rice. The service is really good the staff are very attentive and always walking around so you can ask anyone for help. The ambiance is nice and it does get packed pretty fast when it comes to dinner so make a reservation if you don’t like waiting, but it’s worth the wait.
I got the sizzling black pepper beef, shui mai , har gow, house fried rice, bbq pork buns, scallop and shrimp congee, deep fried doughnuts, and fried shrimp paste balls. I usually also get the crispy chicken half, fried fish fillet with sweet and sour sauce, chef special chow mein and the house special congee. I love getting their braised beef noodles so good! There’s always enough food for lots of left overs! The price you pay depends on how much you order but if you’re splitting with a group it’s pretty cheap.
Solid Canto style restaurant reminiscent of Congee Queen and similar chains. Beef Ho Fun is great. Spicy turnip cake is decent.
I'd skip the soft shell crab fried rice - crab is fried to death and mostly just tastes like batter and the rest of the fried rice is mostly just spicy and salty and not much other flavour.
Rice and noodle dishes are quite large for the price though, which is awesome - 25 buckish per person gets us essentially two entire meals.
We were new to this area and Tried this place for the first time with my fam and friends. It didn’t disappoint. Staff were nice, restaurant was busy but the wait time was fairly short.
Food- everything tasted great, tasted like authentic chinese cuisine.
Portions- good for 2-3 persons
Price- great value for money
Ambience- nice
Not advisable to bring in baby strollers. There’s very little room around the restaurant.
Washroom- clean and has a changing station for babies.
Free parking
