Top Dogs Training Academy

We became puppy parents, for the first time, to an eight week old german shepherd puppy, with lots of energy and determination, last September. Realizing very quickly that we needed to find a good dog trainer, we reached out to Barry at Top Dogs Training Academy. We had two personal sessions with him and right away we knew that Top Dog Academy was definitely the right choice for us and our puppy. We just finished our first puppy session with Lindsay and Meg. Lindsay was very friendly and welcoming, extremely knowledgeble and made learning so fun for everyone. She sent detailed emails with the strategies we learned each week in class, what to practice, and tips for buying toys, food and treats etc. We will be starting a second session with Top Dogs Academy and we can't wait to learn more!

We are so thrilled that our Maltese puppy Spike was able to complete the Puppy Obedience course Level One, during COVID. We loved everything about it! We really looked forward to our Saturday morning sessions. The small class of 4 pups, really allowed for lots of individual positive feedback. We certainly appreciated the opportunity for both of us to attend the training so that our dog gets consistent training. Our instructor Lindsay and her canine assistant Meg, were amazing! She really set the tone for a beautiful learning experience for all of us. We found the hour long classes were the perfect length, and really appreciated the follow-up email each week to remind us what to practice. The Top Dog Training Academy was very professionally run: from our first detailed information phone call from Barry, right up to our visits each week with Lindsay. We brought our 5 month old puppy to the beginner program and we could not believe the improvement over 8 weeks. The class sizes were small and Lindsay was fantastic. We are looking forward to the intermediate program! Highly recommend!!

We had a friendly, relaxing and extremely valuable puppy lessons to take home with us that immediately started to show results if you work on them with your dog consistently. I like that we didn't have such large and big class (4 dogs total). Stan Brown (our teacher) and his young assistant gave us equal amount of time and support. Stan was very knowledgeable and patient with all of his students, he worked with both big and small dogs; his exercises were well explained and represented with his own dog. This is my first puppy and I needed her trained once and the right way, and if you want that too, then Top Dogs Training Academy is the dog school for you. Trainer Barry is not only the best trainer in the industry, but has a heart of gold and wants nothing but for you and your dog to be trained and treated the best.

The classes are always scheduled and planned to build the training from the ground up so you have the basics and when you feel pass, you can then join the intermediate classes from there. You can always bank on having a good time and making friends with the other owners enrolled.
