Spoke with Liz today and found her to be very compassionate, kind, and empathetic! Took time to listen to my story and diagnosis. I look forward to next steps. Thank you kindly! God Bless!!
Thames Centres brings most of their dogs to Victoria Street Animal Hospital for their vet care (Spay/Neuter/Flea/Tick/ Vaccinations etc. We always found the centre taking care of them very well. Whatever is recommended, its considered the center and acted upon. They don't compromise on vet care needed. All dogs we see are pretty trained and cooperative in the hospital environment.
I can not believe thank Liz and her entire team at TCSD enough! They are all certainly very passionate about their dogs and knowledgeable to provide us with the perfect dog for our daughter. Luna has been such a game changer for our entire family but in particular for our daughter. Their service dogs are so smart and are always learning. Once they bond with their person, their are apt and eager to please and put that vest on to work with pride!
We couldn’t be happier with the entire process and Liz still continues to answer any questions we may have. Thank you!!
About 2 years ago we received a wonderful Autism Assistance Dog trained by the staff of Thames Centre Service Dogs. Not only has my son experienced the benefits of a well trained companion, but he has brought love and warmth to our whole family. Liz is a wonderful, knowledgeable and compassionate person with obvious love for her dogs and empathy for her clients. She personally delivered to dog to us to show us the ropes and was endlessly patient and understanding of all the questions and concerns we had as worried autism parents. Her extensive experience with special needs is so helpful. Our dog was a rescue, and it is very clear that Liz and her team know how to choose the right prospects for service dogs, and takes this very seriously so that they are well suited and capable of their tasks. He now goes everywhere my son goes, including school and Church with great success. He passed our provincial service dog assessment with very high scores; a testament to the time and attention given to public access training. The only reason I give the organization 4 stars is because the dogs are kenneled during their training and not with foster families as some larger programs will do. This is understandable, as a foster program requires a lot of volunteer support to do well. It does however mean a bit more work by the family once the dog is placed in order to confirm house manners and behaviour while on regular walks. On the flip side, the ongoing follow up support has been amazing! Thank you Liz!
I’d like to thank you guys for all the amazing support over the past 2 and a half years during my hard times and great service! You all have made my life worth living! With my service dog lily I now have a best friend and someone there for me for my medical needs, there are not enough words in the dictionary to express how much you helped me and I love having my service dog coming to school with me! You all are so nice and it has been such a possitive experience along the way and I can’t wait to see you again and tell you more! Please do consider them, I recommend them 100%!
