A great place to walk - closer to town but it feels as though you are out in the wilderness. Lots of trails to walk. Easy cycling also works there as the trails are relatively smooth.
Strathroy Conservation Area is immediately west of the down town core. The man- made pond is dammed on the east end. Surrounding the pond is an extensive trail that meanders through a green belt. The green belt is large enough that I rarely saw houses while walking on the trail. During my initial hike, I traveled more than 10 kilometers. I by no means exhausted the trail system. The pond itself it large enough to support canoeing. The canoe launch is close to the park entrance and 30 parking spots. Strathroy is fortunate to have such a great hiking trailing so close to the down town.
