I’ve lived here for almost 6 years and have never been to Big Daddy’s (mostly due to covid)- today was my first. Oh! The list was extensive! The service window is an excellent idea! They bring out the pieces of meat for you to chose. Very friendly service. Very good prices for an excellent cut of meat. I got Some chicken sausages, and a couple of ribeyes. Their ribeyes are probably 1/4-1/3 size bigger then any other meat counter. Thicker. Wonderful marbling. Very very tasty. 7 min on high w butter s and P. Tad bit of butter and a clove of my fresh garden garlic. Turned and the sear/crust was GD perfect. Another 6 minutes. Let rest for 10 minutes. Woah. I’m hooked. Totally hooked. Can’t wait to try every single thing. Canadian meats. Love love love to support local.
I cross my fingers every time I go to big daddy’s in hopes that Olivia opens the window. She is a polite young lady and helped me learn about the different cuts of meat instead of forcing the most expensive one on me. Great food. Great employees!! Good luck with South Asia Olivia!!

The BEST striploin I've ever had I purchased from Big Daddy's on the May 2-4 weekend, this past Saturday.
Let me preface this by saying that I was a professional chef/cook in very, very, very high-end restaurants (*****) for many years in Downtown Toronto so you have a bearing on the review.
The meat was phenomenal - a spectacular amount of marbling. The cut was perfect as well, nice and tall. The fat cap was perfect as well, it wasn't too much that you paid for a lot of fat you were not going to eat, but enough to keep moisture in the steak and have some delicious treats for your dog (or yourself). There also wasn't an tough connective tissue, it was all smoooooth eating.
This was the most tender and juicy steaks I've ever eaten, and very flavorful. I was seared over very hot charcoal under care - lots of marbling + lots of fat, so I was watching for any flare-ups. Once it had an intense (not burn!) sear, it was pulled off the high-heat and slow cooked until medium rare, rested for 15 minutes, then thoroughly enjoyed.
This was my first purchase from Big Daddy's, I usually bring up my meat and groceries from the city, but that's now changed. I'll be buying my meat from Big Daddy's from now on.
Also, as a note, as it was commented on in other reviews. The pick-up window is fantastic. Quick and effecient service, they brought a selection of steaks to the window to view. Perfect system, i wish other shops did the same. It keeps their space as clean as possible, folks not dragging in dirt, dust, attitudes, and all the rest.

Just experienced the absolute best rib eyes bbq’d on my green egg. I was originally surprised by the cost but it was absolutely worth it. The quality/marbling was outstanding. The flavors and melt in your mouth textures were unmatched. Definitely stopping by labour day weekend for more. Awesome experience. On a side note, grilling them on a regular bbq also produced delicious results - the best.
