We adopted a lovely male friend for our kitty from cats of paint lake, and they were nothing but helpful and patient as we couldn’t take him right away. They allowed us to visit regularly to get Doug familiar with us before we took him home forever. The work they do for the kitties is amazing!
We love The Cats of Paint Lake, we adopted 2 kittens that they rescued, our babies are now about 8 months old and doing great. Our kittens came to us socialized, but a little timed at first, they get along great with our dog. I cannot thank Heather and Kyle and all others that work/volunteer for rescuing these poor little beings that bring so much love to a persons life. They really are amazing!!
This rescue operation is one of the best I’ve seen. All the cats are treated with love and kindness, no matter how feral. The location is clean and well organized to ensure all the animals feel secure. I really like how Heather believes in trap and neuter, but not for the purposes of releasing back to the wild. Every cat has a chance to find a forever home, and Heather likes to ensure the human and cat matches work before adopting them out. We are fostering Baxter right now, in the hopes he can be with us long term. We love him!
What a great facility to visit and if you are able to volunteer for. Heather and Kyal are super compassionate and extremely knowledgeable in what they are doing. You need to be seriously committed and patient to engage in rescuing feral cats and not only dealing with their medical issues and care but also socializing them to be able to find safe and loving homes for them in the future. Kudos to you both for the wonderful work you are doing
Heather and Kyal of The Cats of Paint Lake do God's work rescuing, trapping and caring for abandoned and feral cats and kittens. The facility is clean and well maintained and the cats do not seem stressed at all. My little feral Mr. Darcy came from The Cats of Paint Lake and is finally learning to trust me and settle into domestic life. I have changed his life and he has changed mine as well. It is so nice to have another heartbeat in the house.
