Beautiful campground - but not much to do unless you are into water activities (fishing/canoeing/kayaking/paddle board). There is nowhere to hike and no cell signal until about 20 km outside the park but the view Is BEAUTIFUL and, let's be honest, we should all disconnect a little anyways:)
The restrooms were clean but no soap so bring your own. Site was clean and calm for people. We had some rain but there were picnic tables under a roof. And in the morning I saw a wolf!! So watch out and ask the office for updates.
Stayed here with some friends and had a great experience. The lady who runs this location is so friendly, super helpful and always available. The park office is packed with things you may need for your stay (sunscreen, batteries, water jug, ice, firewood, etc). We are within walking distance to the beach, to flush toilets, drinkable water and the park office. Was a very quiet area, even with every spot filled, no one made excessive noise. Plots are also a really good size. Only downside is how far the campground is from the closest town- about a 45min drive.
You can listen to nature.
Very good experience, alot of birds, nice views, calm place, no phone signal, big sites, close little waterfall the you can hear from the tent, no light pollution; the sky at night is clear.
Everything was 🧘♂️, except the engines of small boats sometimes.
The campground is simple and quite deep in the sticks with no phone signal for at least a 15 minute drive out. They have flushing toilets and a great access point to a big lake. Fishing was non existent, not for a lack of trying and furthered by not a single sight of a fish in a couple days on the water. The site was relatively clean and for the most part, the sites by the water had manmade stairs to access the beach from each site. The water was very cold in mid May but relatively clear. Workers seemed nice. Overall a decent site, however it lacks adventurous hiking trails and phone signal.
Would recommend if you want a detox from the concrete city and are willing to rent a canoe or will be bringing one.
