The room was as expected of a motel, matress covered in plastic was noisy, fridge was quite loud.
other than that there was nothing to complain about. The service at the reception desk was extraordinarily nice, permits for the national park were booked for us, we rented kayaks and got good advise for the area. The motel being located very close to the east end of algonquin park was perfect for our hiking trips.
Riverside motel in the hills near Algonquin Park. We got here the night before a big canoe trip and found it to be ideal. Older furnishings but it doesn’t matter and almost gives it a more laid back and homey feel. Comfortable beds and wooden interiors make you rested and excited to go hiking or canoe. There are rapids behind the motel and a little wading pool for children. This is the ideal home base or jumping off point to the park.
Love this place, we've stayed in all their places , we go every year, the kindness and attention they give is wonderful, wonderful and very clean rooms ALWAYS, stay once and you WILL go back again.
Pictures are outside of our room door.
We had a 3 night stay at Rolling Rapids motel while exploring Algonquin during the day. We were very happy with the room. It was a decent size for a motel room, it was clean, and our waterfront room had a great view, and the staff was very friendly. We sat by the waterfront every morning with our coffee/tea and enjoyed the picturesque view.
Prior to our stay I had read some of the negative reviews and wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasently surprised. At the end of the day it's a clean motel room that you can use as your base to have a good night's sleep after spending the day canoeing/hiking/biking in Algonquin. As a bonus the restaurant across the river/bridge is also excellent and has a great variety of food. We hope to be back.
