iTrainK9 Dog Training

We got our dog, a Bernese Mountain Dog named Bodhi, in December 2020 when he was 7 weeks old. Around the 5-6 month mark, we started to struggle with his bursts of energy which presented as aggression and constant challenging of the alpha/dominant role. At 8 months, we decided it was time to send Bodhi to some training and after a ton of research, we found that iTrainK9 offered exactly what we were looking for in a timeframe that seemed to be the most realistic. The price was a bit of a sticker-shock at first, but we knew he was worth the investment - after all, as pet owners, we hope our dogs will be around for 10+ years so the price doesn't end up being as scary when you consider the return on your investment: a well mannered, well behaved pet. We sent Bodhi for the 4 week training course and could not believe the transformation upon his return home. Once we settled into a groove of understanding his training and how to put it into practice, it was amazing. Bodhi was perfectly content to remain on place for hours at a time, he was a pleasure to walk and did not bother at any distractions or other dogs, and his recall was incredible. It's been almost 4 months since Bodhi came home and we're still so pleased with his progress. We now walk him completely off-leash thanks to his heel and recall abilities and we've had no bursts of energy or aggression since he's been home. We still put the e-collar on him every day but rarely need to use it and we have not needed his prong collar in months. I praise and recommend iTrainK9 to every dog owner that stops me on our walks to commend me on Bodhi's good behaviour (which happens a lot). I am so grateful for the work this team did with Bodhi and the incredible results they were able to achieve with him.

Loving and owning a Labrador is easy, training not so much. Our young lady was a handful, and a "covid" pup to boot. She didn't listen, didn't like anyone outside of our 6 member family and bullied our two little dogs.
Sending Shelby to iTrainK9 was the best solution to everything.
Shelby went away for 4 weeks and came back fully trained and a pure joy to have in the home. She still tests us, but that's okay as we now have the training to correct her quickly and halt the unwanted behaviour. Best of all she is now so gentle with our two little dogs.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend every member of the iTrainK9 to anyone. Everyone was extremely professional, but also very caring of our and Shelby's needs.

Jason and his team at iTrainK9 are phenomenal at what they do. You can tell from the beginning that they are professionals in their field, extremely knowledgeable and understanding of dogs. We would highly recommend trusting this team to train your puppy or dog! We were given updates on our puppy throughout his boarding and training, which kept us at ease. One of our puppy's trainers, Meghan, gave us support and communication from beginning to end, and continues to offer support since our puppy has come home. We are extremely happy with our decision to put our puppy into this program and are grateful that they have set this foundation for us to keep working on, and that they have given us the knowledge and tools to continue his training!!

Momey well spent! Our 7 month old german shepherd/siberian husky mix was brought in for board and train. After completing the 4 week program, he no longer jumps on people or rys to grab food off the counter. He now listens to commands and walks without ripping off your arm. We can now easily take him out and about without having a hard time. Would recommend this company to anyone and would 100% use them in the future for other dogs.

iTrainK9 did an amazing job with my dog Murphy. He is so much calmer in the house, and responsive to commands. They provided very clear training instructions allowing for an easy and successful transition back home. Best decision I have made for my dog!

We sent our puppy for the 4 week puppy train program and are so glad we chose iTrain! As a first time dog owner it was extremely overwhelming dealing with a new puppy, especially during quarantine where opportunities for training and socialization were scarce. The only options available being video call sessions. We watched all the YouTube videos you can imagine on dog training but as every dog is different, not all techniques work for every dog. We came to find that we just didn't have the tools we needed to be successful trainers and confidently set our puppy up for a comfortable, well rounded, long and healthy life to come.

Since our puppy has been home we have seen a marked improvement in him. He is calm, polite and well mannered. We as owners have now gained a greater understanding of how to continue daily in training and give structure for our little house mate. Our walks used to be miserable and sometimes embarrassing as he would constantly pull, run, bite at his leash and eat everything in his path. Now we take our walks nice and slow and he is walking right at our side and most importantly is attentive to our lead. We are always getting comments from people and other dog owners when we walk him about how good he is listening to us. He is much more calm in the house, is a great listener, and his puppy biting and nipping has improved ten fold. We are so happy we decided to invest in his training by going through this program and would definitely send him in the future to continue his learning!
