Mike was very helpful and assisted me with my garden needs . He was informed and helped me carry my snowball bush and even loaded it in my car for me. Lori was kind and patient with me as I selected the bulbs I wanted as well. Would recommend them for all your gardening needs.
The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The plants and products that were bought at a reasonable price were top notch quality. I would recommend Mike and Lori's Garden Centre to anyone.
Great selection, prices are about the same as other places. The greenhouse aisles are very narrow, the carts fit with very little room for anyone to pass by. I ended up parking my cart in a corner and went back and forth.
While the centre has a very nice appeal, and a lot of very nice selections, there was a few areas of improvement.
My biggest and most important issue was the lack of thought when it comes to those shopping with physical disabilities. The ground Is very uneven, and the rocks might be hard or uncomfortable for someone moving around in a wheelchair. My mother has very bad hips, and walks very limitedly with a cane, when she was pushing the cart, she found the transitions in the doorways in very high, which meant she had a hard time getting over them with the flower carts she had to lean on to walk. While my mother enjoyed the flowers, she had it clear when she finally got back to the car that she would be unable to come back due to the accessibility issues. She was in a lot of pain.
The final issue was the fact that a younger worker had decided to pull chains from the ceiling towards the ground, blocking the isle from being able to be walked through, but also causing the worst noise I have ever heard. I am recently recovering from a head injury, and loud noises still cause horrible headaches for me, something you do not expect to hear in a flower store. I feel there are better times to do this chain thing when the flower tent is not full of people.
Overall, slightly disappointed in my experience, even more so when there are limits in enjoyment for those with physical impairments, which I believe would have been easy fixes before opening.
A great selection of plants, vegetables and herbs to add to your garden. The greenhouse is full of fresh perennials and annuals. I believe the gentleman that we spoke to a couple of times we were there is Mike. He is very friendly and helpful.
The only thing we couldn't find was a green bean plant that grows as a small bush instead of a climbing plant. If you want a great selection of perennials and annuals as well as soil and mulch you have to check this place out. Inside the store they also have a nice selection of fertilizers and bird seeds.
