We were passing through on the 401 and decided to give The Buttermilk Cafe a try!
We LOVED it! It’s so cozy and welcoming. Our waitress was so kind and the service is great! The food portions are HUGE and so yummy! We tried the Mediterranean wrap and the farmers breakfast. Highly recommend to everyone. Also, if you’re wondering - the pancakes are FAV!
Great staff, consistently good food. Coffee is so good l can driving it black, no sugar. Offers much more menu selection than just breakfast fare. Nice Christmas decor that the owner makes herself.
Excellent food and service. We went there for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and pleasant staff. I read some negative reviews and find them hard to believe after what we witnessed. Thank you folks at the Buttermilk cafe, well done.
We had breakfast here and it was delicious. The pancakes were fluffy, the home fried potatoes had little bits of bacon stirred in, they even had sugar-free syrup so the one person who was watching their sugar could have their own little syrup pot. Service was great, atmosphere was cozy. After breakfast we went for a nice walk down to the beach, very scenic!
The service is great, friendly, polite, etc. The location is nice and the patio is spatious, with sunny and shady spots, and enough social distancing. The thing is, although it sounds from other reviews as though the breakfast is great (maybe it is - I haven't tried it), I've only ever had lunch and dinner there, and to be honest the food is pretty mediocre. I mean, if you are used to cafe food and that's what you want, then it will not disappoint. It's fine for that (big portions, decent enough taste). But if you are looking for food that will leave a really lasting impression, it won't. Again, maybe breakfast is different, but don't expect to be wowed by lunch or dinner.
